IFM ALUMNI COMMUNITY
THE INSTITUTE OF FINANCE MANAGEMENT (IFM) LEADS AGAIN IN THE TIOB SCHOLAR BANKING CHALLENGE 2025
- IFM ranks first among more than 50 Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs) in Tanzania.
- IFM student emerged as the top performer out of 3,500 participating students.
- 9 out of the top 10 students are from IFM.
The competition tested students’ possession of practical skills of banking and finance by simulating real-life performance indicators, such as:
- Highest percentage of net interest income,
- Non-Performing Loans (NPL) ratio below 5%,
- Capital Adequacy Ratio above 10.5%, among others.
These remarks were made by the Governor of the Bank of Tanzania, Mr. Emmanuel Mpawe Tutuba, during the award ceremony held on July 4, 2025, where IFM emerged as the overall winner.
