IFM conducted a public lecture with the theme “From Campus to Cashflow: Thriving in the Job Market and Mastering Personal Finance”. The objective was to instil banking practical skills in employment readiness and personal financial management. The objective is to enable the young generation to succeed beyond academic life. The Department of Banking and Financial Services organized the event under the Faculty of Insurance and Banking, where the attendees included banking students at all levels — from Certificate to Diploma, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

The expert speaker was Mr Matungwa Babyegeya, Head of Human Resources at CRDB Bank Plc, who spoke on employment and career readiness. Dr Salutary Orio and Dr Justus Mwemezi, Personal Finance Experts and Lecturers at IFM, addressed financial literacy, savings, budgeting, and investments.
